The Memory Book
Lara Avery

Sammie is a girl with a rare genetic disorder. Doctors have told her that her disease will first slowly start to take away her memories and then it will destroy her health. Sammie is not willing to give up. She starts to keep a Memory Book, where she writes down everyday experiences and happenings – no matter how big or small they are.
Among other things, Sammie describes a perfect date with her longtime crush Stuart. Also, she contemplates about a past fight which ended the friendship between her and her best friend Cooper.
Day after day and page after page, Sammie describes her life and climbs deep into the heart of the reader, who will get to know this brave girl and will miss her bitterly when the book ends.
