Innovation lab
In the Kännukuke library (E. Vilde road 72) you can use the Innovation Lab, where you will find a variety of equipment for creative projects and hobby activities. The equipment is free to use, you just pay for the materials.
Equipment
- three desktop computers
- computer programs: GIMP, Inkscape, CorelDraw, RDWork8.0, Krita, Blender and Fire Alpaca
Materials:
- PLA filament for the 3D printer in various colours, and TPU 95A filament in black and white
- adhesive vinyl and heat-transfer vinyl for the vinyl cutter, available in various colours
- laser-cut plexiglas (transparent, material thickness 3 mm and 5 mm) and plywood (material thickness 4 mm).
- badge components (37 mm) for the badge press
Using the Innovation Lab
- You can use the equipment once you have familiarised yourself with the rules for using the Innovation Lab ↓ and completed a short training course.
- If you are 12-17 years old, parental or guardian consent is also required ↓. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed to use the Innovation Lab equipment independently.
- To use the equipment, book an appointment either at the library, by email at kannukuke@tln.lib.ee or by calling 683 0951.
- You can book a 3D printer for a maximum of 5 hours per day. You can book the graphics tablet, the laser cutting bench and the vinyl cutter and thermal press for a maximum of 3 hours per day.
- To use the equipment, please provide reader card or ID card.
