Computers, internet and accessories

In some of our libraries, you can use the ROMOSSsailing 3 battery bank on site. You can recharge the batteries of mobile phones, tablets, etc. with a battery bank. The device has two USB outputs, a 2.1A output allows you to charge devices with a higher current demand (such as a tablet). Allow about 5 hours for charging.

In our libraries, you can use a computer mouse and keyboard on site. To connect devices to your computer, the computer must have a USB port.

• At the Südalinna library you will be able to view the electronic drawing board on site. Wacom Intuos Pro MYou can connect the device to a laptop or library laptop with a USB cable. To use the drawing board, you should have prior computer skills.
  You can use the electronic drawing board for professional (such as Adobe, Corel Draw) as well as simpler freeware ones (such as GIMP, Inscape). Check out our a volunteer description of our library the use of a drawing boardest.
• At the Kännukuke library you have possiblity to use the graphics table on the spot Wacom Cintiq 22HD. You can see the drawing process in real time on the screen. With a professional graphics tablet, you can create paintings, animations, graphics, and 3D models using various graphics programs. With a graphics tablet, you can use the following programmes: Krita, Gimp, FireAlpaca and Blender.

If you are using a hearing aid and would like to use a computer, you can borrow an individual neck loop NL-100 for use on site.

Use the neckloop like this:

• put the loop over the head around the neck
• plug the loop into the headphone socket of your hearing aid.
• switch your hearing aid to the hearing loop mode (T-position).
• adjust the volume on your computer

You can use wired headphones in our libraries. See headphones availability in the e-catalogue ESTER.

In our libraries, you can use the large Samsung S27R650FDU on-site. To connect the device to your computer, your computer must have an HDMI socket. All of our libraries have a scanner for you to digitize documents or images independently. The scanner is connected to the library computer.

• Kännukuke, Männiku, Pelguranna, Pääsküla and Tondi libraries you can use a Canon scanner CanoScan LiDE 210.

• Kadrioru, Liivalaia, Männi, Nurmenuku, Nõmme, Paepealse, Pirita, Sääse, Südalinna and Torupilli libraries you can use a Canon scanner CanoScan LiDE 400.

• At the Laagna, Sõle, Südalinna and Väike-Õismäe library you can use a Canon scanner CanoScan 9000F Mark II. In the Sõle and Südalinna libraries you can use. film and slide scanning frames.

• At the Kännukuke library you can use Canon CanoScan 8800F. With the scanner you can use film and slide scanning frames.

• At the Kalamaja library you can use a scanner EPSON Perfection V850 Pro. With the device you can scan films and slides.

• At the Kalamaja library you can use a film scanner Kodak Scanza Digital. With the device you can scan films and slides.
