Placing a hold
You can add yourself to the waiting list for books that are currently checked out (except for books in the library bus and mini-libraries), magazines, and other materials. You cannot add yourself to the waiting list for newspapers, museum tickets, or seeds.
To add to the queue:
- Make sure you have a valid library card.
- Choose a book(s) or item you would like to add to the queue.
- Contact us:
- by email. Write to us your first name, surname and personal identification number, e-mail address, the author of the book or other publication you want, the title and, if applicable, the year of publication (if you want a specific year).
- by phone
- at the library
- using the online form below ↓
Good to know:
- You can add yourself to the waiting list for books, magazines, and other items (hereinafter “items”) that are currently checked out
- A hold can be placed on the same title at only one library
- You cannot request an item from one library to another
- We will notify you by email when the item arrives
- We’ll hold the item you requested for you at the library on the ordering shelf, loaning locker, or at the service desk for two days
- Other items (such as sports equipment) that do not fit on the order shelf can be picked up at the service counter with the assistance of a staff member.
- Note: Any book or magazine taken from the reservation shelf must be checked out in the name of the person who reserved it before leaving the library.
