If the e-catalogue ESTER has the status KOHAL for the book (or other) that you want, you can order it:
- Choose the library that’s right for you. You cannot order from one library to another.
- Order via the form on the website, by e-mail or by phone.
- Wait for confirmation that the book is waiting for you on the requests shelf in the library.
- Take your library card with you when you go to the library to pick up your order.
- You can apply for a loan at a self-service machine or with a librarian during library opening hours.
- If you have been authorised to lend to someone else, bring the authorisation and an identity document to the library (read more on authorisation). You can only borrow books with authorisation from a librarian.
- Lending lockers are located near the entrances of the libraries of Südalinna, Liivalaia, Kännukuke, Laagna, Nõmme, Paepealse, Pelguranna, Pirita, Pääsküla and Väike-Õismäe.
- Choose the library with the lending locker from which you want to order a book.
- You can order up to five books at a time.
- Contact the library by using the form on the website, by e-mail or by phone.
- Wait for confirmation that the book is waiting for you at the lending locker. The order will be kept in the lending locker until the deadline sent in the e-mail.
- Borrow a book from the lending locker with a library card or ID card. The return date will be automatically sent to the e-mail address provided to the library.
- You can order if you are an adult reader of Tallinn Libraries.
- You can order up to five books or other at a time.
- You pay for the service as a customer via a bank transfer link sent by the library, the cost of sending the parcel is €4.50.
- We will send your order by DPD parcel terminal.
- If you do not pick up your parcel within the DPD storage period (7 days), the parcel will be returned to the library and you will have to pay the library a return fee of €4.
Return via parcel machine
- The return of the parcel from the parcel machine to the other parcel machine is at the expense of the reader, the price according to the size of the selected locker.
- Pack books in a book envelope or bubble wrap to protect them in transit.
- Choose your parcel machine and fill in the details of the parcel and the delivery fee at the parcel machine or in advance in the self-service environment. The parcel label can also be printed at the parcel terminal.
- Choose Tallinn Central Library as the recipient of the parcel, write 5667 5384 as the contact phone number and Tallinn Lasnamäe Prisma parcel machine as the parcel machine.
- Stick a label on the parcel and scan the parcel code in the parcel machine. Place the parcel in the locker.
- The books will be considered as returned from the reader within a week of arriving at the parcel machine at the latest.
The library will send you a confirmation when the book you want is on the requests shelf, waiting at the lending locker or on its way to the parcel machine. You can return the book to any of the following Tallinn Librarys. If the library is closed, you can return borrowed books through return hatch.
