Table football and Novuss
- Table football is played two against two (teams of four) or one against one (teams of two).
- At the start of the game, the team receives the ball from the librarian, and at the end of the game the ball must be returned to the librarian.
- The game usually goes to five goals or ten better or until time runs out.
- “Spinning” is forbidden! No figure may be rotated more than 360 degrees before or after the shot.
- The table must remain stationary, “shaking” the table is forbidden!
- Natural blocking of the ball on impact is allowed, but rapid back and forth movement of the cue stick is prohibited!
- After a goal has been scored, the ball shall be placed in the centre of the pitch or, if there is an opening, on the pitch by the team that scored the goal.
- If the ball bounces back into the pitch from the goal, it is considered a goal and play continues according to the rules.
- If the ball goes out of bounds during the course of the game, it shall be placed in the centre of the field of play or, if there is an opening, by the team that kicked the ball out.
- Each team may play for 15 minutes at a time. If there is no queue, a team may play longer. However, the game must end as soon as a new team arrives.
- The team must take care not to disturb other library readers while playing.
- If a team breaks the agreement, each team member reads a book of their choice for 5 minutes and introduces the content to the librarian. The team can start again when all team members have finished reading and talking to the librarian. Those who don’t want to read or don’t bother to read must return the ball and cannot play again that day.
