Donate to the library

We would be grateful for any books (in good condition) on the list below that are either missing from our collections or for which we would like to acquire additional copies.
If you would like to donate any of the books on the list, please bring it to your nearest Tallinn Library.

Donated books are accounted for selectively, based on the collection policy of Tallinn Libraries.

We will include a sticker with the following text on the book that has been donated and registered: “This book was donated to Tallinn Libraries. Would you also like to make a gift? Find out more at www.tallinnaraamatukogud.ee”.

If the donor wishes, we will publish the name of the donor on the library’s website.

Books or other publications donated to Tallinn Library and registred will be processed according to the library’s procedures. For example, we add the library stamp and barcode to the book. The donated publication becomes part of our collection, which we lend to our readers to read on-site or at home. We will handle the donated item in accordance with Tallinn Libraries’ collection placement and design policies, including deletion from the collection, if necessary, according to the procedures in place. Donated items will not be returned to the donor.

Donate to the Music and Film Hall of the Südalinna Library

In the music and film hall, there are lots of good films on old VHSs that could do with replacing with DVDs. If you happen to have any of the DVDs on the list below sitting on a shelf at home, we would be very grateful for a donation.

We can accept 1 copy of each DVD. To make a donation, please contact the Music and Film Hall.

Donated and registred DVDs or other items of honour will be processed in accordance with library policy. The library will receive the entire collection of donated DVDs, which will be loaned to readers for on-site or home use. We do not return donated DVDs to the donor.
