Board games

You can play board games in the library or borrow them to take home.

You can only play console games in the library. Console games are for children and young people.

You can play console games if you are registered as a reader.
To start playing, you must show us your library card or ID card.
We recommend you to book your playtime at the library, by calling or by sending an e-mail.
You can book a playtime for one hour. If there is no queue, you can extend it by an hour when the time runs out.

Library Guidelines for Video Game Players

At Kännukuke, Liivalaia, Paepealse, and Väike-Õismäe Libraries, gaming takes place in a designated area within the public service space (children’s and young adults’ area). Please keep the volume at a reasonable level while playing. A librarian can help you adjust the volume if needed.
When talking to each other during the game, please keep your voices down so as not to disturb other library visitors.
There is an age limit for the games.
Players must handle all equipment and library property with care.
If a player breaks these guidelines, they (and the other players in their group) must spend five minutes reading a book of their choice and then tell the librarian what they have read. The game can be resumed when all players have finished reading and talking to the librarian. Players who do not want to read or do not bother to read will not be allowed to play again that day (even if the time limit has not yet expired).
