Seed chest
At Laagna library Seed chest you can take for free of charge various seeds to try to grow your own plants. No need to return “borrowed” seeds, there are no deadlines or penalties for late returns. If you manage to get seeds from a plant you have grown,you can bring them back to the Seed chest as a donation. Other seeds of flowers, perennials and herbs are also welcome
Use of the Seed chest
- If you are not yet a reader at Tallinn Libraries, please register to become one online or at the library.
- Search from the e-catalogue ESTER to see what seeds we have. To do this, use the search term “seed chest”.
- If necessary contact for more information seemnelaegas@tln.lib.ee or phone 635 0020.
- To obtain seeds, come the Laagna library.
- If you need a place to grow seeds, find out more at Laagna garden in the library courtyard.
Tallinn Libraries is entered in the Plant Health Register as a certified packager of seeds and seed mixtures with registration number 4728.
Plant Exchange Cabinet
In the plant exchange cabinet you will find a variety of plants looking for a new home. If you’d like to get one of these for yourself, feel free to pick it up from the library!
If you have plants at home that could find a new home, you can share them with other interested people via the plant exchange cabinet.
