Library self-service solutions

As a reader of Tallinn Libraries you can:

• borrow from a self-service machine, return books and check your loans in some libraries, overdue charges and extend the deadline for returning the item(s) if you wish. You can print out a loan slip or send it to an e-mail. It is not possible to borrow items from another service unit or reading room, to borrow items on hold for another patron, or to borrow items or the latest issues of journals from branch libraries. If you have any questions, please ask the librarian.
• with the smart return shelf, you can quickly return items by placing them on the shelf and pressing “Return” on the screen.
• pre-order books (or others) with KOHAL status in the e-catalogue ESTER in advance via the website order form, e-mail or telephone. Loaning lockers are located at the Südalinna, Liivalaia, Kännukuke, Laagna, Nõmme, Paepealse, Pelguranna, Pirita, Pääsküla and Väike-Õismäe library. After you have placed your order, the library will contact you.
