Jesse Andrews’ book „Munmun“ describes such a world. The protagonists of this book are brother and sister, Warner and Prayer, who are vulnerable because of their poverty. They live in a world where littlepoors, such as them, can become victims of a cat-attack. Cars and cellphones are far too big for them to use. And there is no point in trying to visit a school or a hospital – the buildings are too large and littlepoors have no money anyway. The only option that they seem to have is to try to become rich and therefore bigger…
