Event series “My travel photo stories” New Zealand

21. April 2026, 11:00 - 12:00

Küllike visited towns and national parks on the North and South Islands. She learned that New Zealand is not a land, but a continent, according to the local people, with 94% of the land under water and only 6% above. The land, which broke away from the primeval continent 100 million years ago, has drifted with Australia along the waterways, and in that time has formed a unique and, in fact, non-recurring landscape. The islands were first discovered by the Dutch navigator Abel Tasman in 1642. About 100 years later, the English navigator Captain Cook arrived. The exhibition includes many photographs of the most beautiful land in the world, where summer is eternal.

Küllike Neeme shares her travel impressions

We are looking forward to see you at Sääse Library on 21 April at 11 am!

Come yourself and bring a friend!

It doesn’t matter if the trip is long or short, to a foreign country or a place in Estonia, or even to the forest, your garden or the place of your childhood.

A story should be around 20-25 minutes long, with 3-4 speakers per session.

Send or let us know if you would like to show your travel photos and tell your stories to Sääse Library at saase@tln.lib.ee, call 683 0990 or make an appointment with our staff.

No need to worry about technical problems – librarians will be on hand to help with the preparation, getting the photos ready for presentation and during the event.
