This interesting book belongs to the series „Usborne beginners“. We can get to know about different dangerous animals, their behavior, what they look like. Animals are dangerous for different reasons – they are protecting their babies, are hungry, scared, defend their territory and they can spread different diseases. Some dangerous animals live on the land, but some live in the sea. We know the white shark and the tiger shark very well, but sharks are not the only killers in the sea. There are a lot of other animals in the sea, who can kill. A blue ringed octopus is so dangerous, that its poison can kill a person in minutes, although it is the size of about a golf ball. Electric rays, stonefish and box jellyfish, who live in the sea, are also very dangerous. Cone snails can kill with deadly poison.

But people also can be dangerous to animals – hunters shoot and kill animals, oil leaking from damaged ships kills sea birds and animals. Plastic bags, cans and bottles can choke animals, if they try to eat them.

This work is superbly illustrated, there are a lot of photos and illustrations of animals. The glossary of animal words, websites to visit and index are at the end of the book. The book is suitable for children and for those, who are learning English.
