Architecture According to Pigeons

This is a book about architecture for children. The stories are told by a pigeon called Speck. You can find some of the most thrilling and splendid buildings in the world here. Each building is called by its pigeon name with the human name underneath. First beauty is „The mish-mash marvel“ a.k.a. Canterbury Cathedral beaked for the south-east coast of England. The Cathedral´s Archbishop is the head of the Church of England. The stained glass windows are like a mini-movie itself, depicting jewel bright tales about knights and saints.

Another interesting part is the one about the best towers in the world. One of the most famous is Burj Khalifa, situated in Dubai. It is 828 metres high being thus the highest tower in the world.

But there are still so many more out there for you to discover: the Colosseum, the Taj Mahal, Golden Gate Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, and dozens of other buildings.

The book has very beautiful illustrations, made by Natsko Seki – a Japanese illustraator, who lives in London.
