Born to read
“Born to Read is the umbrella term for the activities we offer to help children up to 7 years old develop reading skills and habits. We’ll help your child become and stay a reader!
Together, we’ll make your child’s first library card a memorable event for the whole family!
Children up to the age of 7 can become a reader on registration:
- a free library card;
- a card pocket where you can write your child’s name and age, first books borrowed from the library and favourite books.
To promote literature, libraries are holding children’s mornings (add a link to the calendar) during the autumn-spring season, where families can look at books, listen to stories and handcraft together.
“Born to Read” is designed by Ulla Saar. “Born to Read” is supported by the Folk Culture Centre under the measure “Support for regional cultural activities”.
